The Girl Scouts of the Philippines and Friends Foundation, Inc. (GSPFFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization created to ensure the sustainability of the Girl Scouting movement in the Philippines. Recognizing its growing membership, the Executive Committee of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines thought of ways and means by which it can generate steady income for the furtherance of the noble mission of GSP “to enable girls and young women realize the ideals of womanhood and prepare themselves for their responsibilities in the home, the nation and the world community.”
As early as 1990, Dr. Milagros Araneta Villasor GSP National President (1987-1994), thought of establishing a Foundation that will raise funds for the GSP to stabilize its financial resources. The GSP golden jubilee in 1990 inspired her to call on her friends to form a group called the Golden Friends Society by contributing P50,000 each. From their initial P355,000 that was raised, the funds have accumulated to more than double after ten years. In 1999, the idea of creating a GSP Foundation was brought again before the Executive Committee and was approved for implementation. Thus, GSP and Friends Foundation, Inc. was born. The initial funds came from the Golden Friends Society and the contribution of P50,000 each of the 14 incorporators of the Foundation.
Objective:
The primary objective of the Foundation is to help ensure the financial stability of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines to enable it to sustain its program and projects. The Foundation also aims to provide continuous leadership training and opportunities for higher education for deserving Girl Scouts.
Type of Membership
Membership is open to any individual without any distinction of nationality, creed, religion and culture. It is also open to any corporation and other groups which are willing to support the mission of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.

Privileges of Members
Individuals and corporate members will receive certificate of membership. Individual members are given membership insignia while corporate members are presented plaque of recognition.
Members will be invited to all the events of the Foundation as well as to special events of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines.
