RECOGNITION

OUTSTANDING TRAINERS

At the close of every triennium, the National Training Committee shall choose three (3) outstanding trainers from among those recommended by the regions. As an incentive, they will have a chance to attend an Asia Pacific event. The training fees and travel expenses from Manila to the venue of the event and back will be paid by the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. The grant shall be provided for by the Josefa Llanes Memento Fund.

QUALIFICATIONS:

For a trainer to qualify for this award, she must meet the following qualifications:

1. Designed/conducted training courses within the triennium for troop leaders, for those working with troop leaders and for those in administration.
2. Conducted training courses/sessions at Regional and/or National level.
3. Must understand the support function of training as shown in well-thought out and carefully planned sessions.
4. Must have helped a prospective trainer through certification within the triennium.
5. Attended annual trainers update at any level during the triennium.
6. Exemplifies the ideals of the Movement as embodied in the Promise and Law.

PROCEDURE

The regions shall conduct their own screening to choose one (1) trainer to recommend. Recommendations from the regions together with the duly accomplished Trainer's Information Sheet must be received at NHQ on or before June 30 of the last year of the triennium.

Regions will be notified of the result of the screening after the National Training Committee shall have chosen the three (3) Outstanding Trainers
