RECOGNITION

COUNCIL OUTSTANDING GIRL SCOUT

Any currently registered Senior or Cadet Girl Scout may be chosen Council Outstanding Girl Scout if she meets the following criteria:

1. Exemplifies the Girl Scout Promise and Law.
2. Participated in a service project for at least two years.
3. Participated in at least one council-wide camp.
4. Earned badges in each of the 8-Point Challenge.
5. Registered for at least three consecutive years.
6. Endorsed by the following:
-her own Troop Leader
-Barangay Captain or a Community Leader
-Council Executive
7. An active patrol leader
8. Passed the screening and personal interview conducted by the Council Selection Committee.

Note: The Selection Committee may select as many Outstanding Girl Scouts as may qualify.

REGIONAL OUTSTANDING GIRL SCOUT

A Council Outstanding Girl Scout endorsed by her Council Board may qualify as Regional Girl Scout if she meets the following criteria:

1. She is a Council Senior Planning Board officer or a Girl Representative to the GSP Central Board or a Chief Girl Scout Medalist.
2. She has passed the screening conducted by the Regional Selection Committee.

NATIONAL OUTSTANDING GIRL SCOUTS

Regions submit to National Headquarters the supporting documents of their Outstanding Girl Scouts not later than July 30 each year.

The six Regional Outstanding Girl Scouts are recognized as National Outstanding Girl Scouts upon endorsement by the National Program Committee and approval by the National Executive Committee. International travel grants, prizes and certificates may be awarded to them.
