GSP STAFF BAGS 3RD PLACE IN PHOTOGRAPHY

Among 29 contenders, 23-year old Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Staff Dharvie Cinco bagged3rd place in photography for the Human Activity category of the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation, Inc. (FPPF). He received a medal after winning and completing a crashcourse in photography under FPPF on April 14 in Intramuros, Manila.

Cinco, a staff of the Communications Division who is assigned to dophotography-related tasks for the organization, began with a little know-how in photography. Without any formal training in photography, he professionally enhanced his skill when GSP enrolled him with FPPF. Now, Cinco is the official photographer of the GSP.

GSP gives an opportunity to its staff who are willing to develop their talents and skills. It continues to strengthen its staff’s need to learn and to grow in and outside the organization.

NINETEEN SERVICE AWARDEES MAKE IT TO NATIONAL STAFF AWARDS

One employee with 30 years of service tucked under his belt made the audience’s eyes well with tears as he related his struggles in life - but GSP, being his constant ally and provider, always came to his rescue up until today.

Another employee who has just been recognized for her five years of service excitedly looked forward to many more years with GSP. To her, it is a service with a heart.

These are just two of the profiles of GSP’s service awardees as they were feted during the National Staff Awards last February 24 at the GSP National Headquarters, Manila.

Nineteen professional staff were awarded based on their length of service with the organization.

The National Staff Awards is an annual event of GSP that recognizes employees’ hard work and loyalty to the organization. This serves as the organization’s way of thanking its employees for their valuable service and support to GSP.
