Brief History
The Central Luzon Regional Program and Training Center is located at Barangay Old Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac in a two-hectare lot donated by Mr. and Mrs. Roberto Go.
This was first constructed in the year 1986 during the incumbency of then Regional Chairman, Dr. Amelita Dayrit-Go. The fourteen (14) Councils gave their all out support in the series of fund raisings initiated by the Region for the construction of a 2 storey building. The government officials in the nearby municipalities of Tarlac donated construction materials such as gravel and sand and soil for filling the back portion of the two-hectare lot.
In 1991, when Mount Pinatubo erupted, the ground floor was covered with lahar, which caused the immediate transfer of the regional office first, to CRG National Program and Training Center in Novaliches then to Malolos, Bulacan from 1992 to 2000.
In 1999, the CL Regional Program and Training Center was reconstructed through the efforts of the Regional Chairman Dr. Salud A. Bagalso. The Central Board loaned the Region Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P500,000.00) to complete the renovations.
How to Reach CL Regional Program and Training Center
- From Manila to Dau, Pampanga – take big buses going north, to Baguio, Laoag, etc.
- From Dau to the Center – take jeepney or mini buses going to Capas and Tarlac.
